About
After a meth addict named Eddie Morales wins a spot at a theater to perform comedy in front of 3,000 people, he finds himself with a new career prospect. This prospect, however, isn't easy; what comes is hardship, friendship, love, loyalty, betrayal, and a web of lies spun at every corner. Will his addiction destroy his chances of becoming a great comedian, or will he overcome his addiction and go on to greatness? He walks into an open mic, hoping no one can tell he’s high.
The first set is rough. He rushes lines, loses a punch line, and stares at the floor while three thousand people wait. But a few jokes land, and Marlon Pierce remembers his name. Then Marlon offers him a spot at a bar.
Eddie turns back toward the theater, the meth still tucked beneath his jacket lining. Comedy has given him a reason to walk back inside. What he does with that reason will shape the life he’s trying to build. Meth To The Spotlight follows one man from the hidden paper in his jacket to the stage he wants to earn.
